RAVI is kept in the freezer. When ready for use, simply place it into the bottle and serve your wine. As the wine passes through the stainless steel coil it flows into your glass at perfect drinking temperature. The internal tube is made from the same stainless steel used for fermentation tanks so the RAVI maintains the wine’s characteristics and never alters the taste. An air valve regulates the speed and ultimately the temperature of the wine. RAVI requires no particular maintenance: rinse it with water, let dry and put it back in your freezer. Done!
Temperature Regulation :
Unfortunately, red wines are often served too warm. The alcohol tends to predominate, concealing the fruit of the wine. As a result, the wine loses its typicity and personality. Therefore red wine should be enjoyed at cellar temperature, depending on the type of wine, between 12 to 18 degrees.
The air valve prevents the wine from dripping during the service and it regulates the temperature. By partly blocking the air-intake, the wine flow is reduced, the wine remains longer in the ravi and ultimately the temperature is lowered further. By doing this the wine can be chilled to the desired temperature. This function becomes very important when serving several glasses in a row. In no time, you will become an expert at using your RAVI and will be controlling the temperature drop like a pro.
Red Wines: Ravi will bring a bottle from room temperature to the perfect service temperature in a few seconds. It will stay efficient for 90 minutes once out of the freezer.
White Wines: Ravi can chill 2 or 3 glasses of a non-refrigerated bottle of white wine to the perfect service temperature.
